History of Web designing

The first website was published in the year 1991, August by Tim Berners-Lee. He was one of the first human to join Internet communication (which was the mode of carrying the Usenet and email for decades) along with hypertext (this has also been present for decades, however was limited for browsing information placed on the single computer, just like the CD-ROM design) The language used for writing on websites is called as the markup language known as HTML. Earlier versions available for HTML were basic, giving just the website’s simple structure i.e. paragraphs and headings and also the ability to link them using hypertext. Web design was quite new and very different from the existing types of communication. Here the end user’s were able to navigate to the other pages by just following hyperlinks provided on all the pages.

As and when Web and the web design started progressing, marked language started changing and became intricate and flexible which gives an option to add on objects like tables and images. Features like inclusion of tables in a page was originally planned to display tabular details, however were then subverted and used for invisible layout strategies. With the beginning of CSS, this table-based layout want considered as outdated. The type in which web was made has been enhanced by W3C standards as well as by the database integration technology like the server-side scripting. With changing times websites are also changing codes on the inner side and the visual design from the outer side with ever-evolving utilities and programs.

Web sites and web pages can be either static pages or they can also be programmed to dynamic pages that can automatically get accustomed to content or the visual appearance. This depends on various factors, like input by end-user, input by Webmaster or even changes in a computing environment (like database associated with the site has been modified).

With the succession of web, many of the web design centers have established in the entire world in order to provide the increasing demand for this kind of work. As such many of the IT industry, a lot of web designing companies have emerged in these technology parks. Today in the developing world many western web design companies are also setting up their centers in India, Russia and Romania so that they can advantage of comparatively cheaper labor rates that are found in these countries.
